Everton want LFC flop in controversial summer transfer

Everton are making countless moves in the transfer market this summer and have already brought in the likes of Wayne Rooney, Davy Klassen, Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane, among others, but could move for ex-Liverpool ace Christian Benteke as well…

The Belgian powerhouse was sold to Crystal Palace last summer for a cool £30m fee, so Everton would likely have to considerably better that to acquire the hitman – who bagged 17 goals in 2016/17.

Sky Sports claim that despite our neighbours signing Spanish striker Sandro, they want Benteke as well, wanting to replace the goals lost by Romelu Lukaku’s sale to Manchester United.

In truth, Everton’s transfers are not worrying us. It seems like they’re buying quantity rather than quality, and there’s so far no players who obviously get into our side – although Pickford and Keane would arguably improve Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

For us, we’re focussing on one or two buys who will actively improve the starting XI – it’s just requiring serious patience to get the deals done. Hopefully by August, we’ll have got them over the line.
