New Roma boss slams Mo Salah for a lack of respect

Mo Salah has been criticised by Roma boss Eusebio di Francesco, for a comment he left on Antonio Rudiger’s Instagram post.

The German defender recently signed for Chelsea, but instead of just congratulating the defender on his move, Salah intimated that Radja Nainggolan would be next out of the door.

The Belgian powerhouse has been linked to Manchester United, but the Italians are desperate to keep hold of him considering Salah, Rudiger and Leandro Paredes have already been shipped out this summer.

“It wasn’t very classy. Salah wanted to go to the Premier League and could’ve kept quiet,” di Francesco said, reported in the Echo.

“Nainggolan’s a top player and we want to hold on to him. It’s mine and the club’s objective and we’ll certainly have him at our training camp in the US.

“He has very important quality, he knows how to break up play and attack. These are qualities that a ‘mezzala’ must have.”

In fairness, we can understand Roma being irritated. They allowed Salah to depart, so he shouldn’t be encouraging more players to exit once they’ve granted him a move.

That would be like Coutinho signing for Barca and then publicly speaking up the chances of Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana leaving as well!

Still, we’re sure our record buy meant nothing by it and we hope Roma fans can remember him for all the good he done during his two seasons in the capital.

Salah is currently getting to know his new team-mates and we can’t wait to see him perform – potentially tomorrow evening against Tranmere in the first friendly of the summer.
