It’s easy to forget Lazar Markovic is still a Liverpool player…
The Serbian has never played a competitive game under Jurgen Klopp and is very much available this summer.

Despite the fact he’s completely unwanted by the club, it looks like we could be about to make £16m for his services, with Fiorentina currently negotiating with the player regarding personal terms, according to Melissa Reddy in Goal.

We spent nearly £20m on the winger in 2014, but after he failed to impress on Merseyside, or at Fenerbahce, Sporting or Hull on loan – to almost recoup what we spent would be mighty impressive.
So far this summer we’ve offloaded Lucas Leiva, Kevin Stewart, Andre Wisdom, Alex Manninger, Jack Dunn and Ryan Fulton, but Alberto Moreno, Mamadou Sakho and Markovic are expected to follow…
If we get rid of all of this deadwood, it would partly cover the mammoth sums we could spend on either Naby Keita or Virgil van Dijk.
