There’s a strange report going round that suggests Liverpool have proposed a swap-deal to Barcelona to let them know just how pointless a third bid for Coutinho will be.
Tongue firmly in cheek, we’ve told them we’ll entertain their offer for our Brazilian, provided they give us back Luis Suarez in return, Fantasy Sports claim a ‘source close Anfield’ has told them!
Now, Suarez returning to Anfield would make this the greatest transfer window of all time, but there’s more chance of David Moyes taking the reigns with Gary Neville as his assistant…
We’d quite like it if were true though that Liverpool had proposed the crazy swap-deal, with Barcelona unscrupulously unsettling our no.10 right before the campaign started.
Coutinho wants to leave to join the Spanish giants, just as Suarez did in 2013 – but the Uruguayan gave us 12 more months of brilliant service before getting his dream transfer – and we’d hope the Brazilian will do the same.
Without him, our midfield lacks creativity – and the thought of Coutinho behind Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino is mouthwatering.
