Coutinho wants clear the air talks with LFC; blames Barca for email ‘Independent’

It looks like Coutinho has very much accepted he won’t be sold by Liverpool and is now doing what he can to get back in both the club’s and fans’ good-books.

According to the Independent, our Brazilian wants ‘clear the air’ talks with Jurgen Klopp and the club’s hierarchy to explain what happened and why he now wants to play for Liverpool again.

The report says that Coutinho’s representatives will claim Barca pressurised him into the emailed transfer request, which arrived the day before our season started.

We’re sure Barca were very demanding and consistently in his ear all summer, but at the end of the day, he’s a grown man and should be held responsible for his actions.

After all, he’s on £150k/week and actively disrupted our preparations before the Watford game for entirely selfish reasons.

He’ll now have to make up for the behaviour on the field. The report says Klopp is ready to welcome Coutinho back, as are his team-mates, so we expect to see him in red again after the international break – as he’s barely trained since the Bayern Munich game.
