When will this transfer window end!?

At about 11am this morning, after hearing Sky Sports’ umpteenth Coutinho update since breakfast, I was about to leave for a belated shower – until I heard 1980s pumper ‘Never Gonna Give You Up,’ blaring out of the tele.

I assumed the cat had sat on the remote, but lo and behold – it was still on ‘409’ and I turned to see Rick Astley’s classic dubbed over Coutinho scoring goals with Jurgen Klopp looking on longingly.

Naturally, I rewound, recorded, shared and waited while the retweets rolled in – but it’s been the talk of Twitter ever since – so I’ve written an article on it too…

There isn’t much else to say.

I would sign off with ‘Enjoy,’ but I’m very aware that the sensible majority will not.
