LFC CEO embarrasses rude fan on Twitter with brilliant Coutinho rebuttal

Last night, rumours began to circle that Liverpool had reversed our decision to keep Coutinho and would actually be offloading him for £150m before the close of the window.

Duncan Castle published a story on Yahoo Sport and Oliver Bond made a similar claim on Anfield HQ. None of the more respected Liverpool correspondents corroborated their story – but it didn’t stop fans on Twitter losing the plot.

One, named Tyler Smith, abused our CEO, but brilliantly – Peter Moore politely reassured him that Coutinho is going nowhere.

There is simply no way after everything FSG have said so far this summer and the manner in which we’ve rejected the first four bids that we’re going to offload Phil with two days to go.

And there’s even less chance after this tweet from our CEO.

He’s staying… Fear not.
