Even after window shuts, there’s worrying transfer news for LFC fans

The Coutinho saga, for now, is over, with the Brazilian guaranteed to stay at Anfield until January, although realistically next summer, at least.

Annoyingly though, we’ve the unfinished business of Emre Can and the German’s contract to worry about now…

According to a report mentioned by Sky Sports, the swashbuckling 23-year-old is expected to join Juventus on a Bosman as soon as 2018 arrives.

This means that not only will we lose Can, but that he’ll depart for free – a travesty considering what his market worth would be if he had years left on his deal.

Can’s been one of our players of the season so far, particularly immense against Arsenal last time out.

Liverpool must surely be moving heaven and earth to tie him down for the foreseeable future, but as of yet, there’s been no agreement reached.

For us, Can’s worth every bit of the £130k/week Adam Lallana was tied down earlier in the year.

That’s plenty more than he’d be earning in Italy with Juventus, too.
