(Video) Oxlade-Chamberlain ribbed by LFC fan & Robertson in undercover task

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was left defending himself against a young Liverpool fan oblivious to the fact he was in fact criticising the well-disguised midfielder.

The deadline-day signing was joined by fellow summer arrivals Dominic Solanke and Andrew Robertson in the latest segment of their undercover challenge.

On a mission to go undetected in the official club shop, the trio adopted some suspect accents as they interacted with Reds supporters.

Solanke kicked things off by mistaking the phrase ‘dizzy’, as in discount, as ‘fizzy’- much to the amusement of a Robbie Fowler pulling the strings from behind-the-scenes.

Left-back Andrew Robertson, whilst sounding nothing like a Scouser, dealt an early blow by labelling Oxlade-Chamberlain as ‘hopeless’ after asking a fan for his opinion on the former Arsenal man- who himself agreed to having not enjoyed a great start.

Oxlade-Chamberlain then fuelled the next critic when he advised a fan to buy his shirt, suggesting he would be a ‘superstar’. The young Red brilliantly replied: “Been saying that for about 10 years, though.”

All jokes aside, the big-money signing has gradually adjusted to life at Liverpool and is beginning to look at home in Jurgen Klopp’s system.

Whilst Dominic Solanke has seen his first-team opportunities limited, Robertson has arguably endured a more frustrating start on Merseyside having managed just three appearances this season due to the form of Alberto Moreno.

Regardless of their different circumstances at the moment, all have the potential to go on and enjoy a productive career at Anfield.
