Liverpool drew Everton in the FA Cup last night and the whole of Merseyside had something to say about it.
We haven’t faced our neighbours in the competition since 2012, where we famously knocked them out at the semi-final stage at Wembley.
Following the balls being picked out, Jamie Carragher tweeted that he was glad Liverpool now have the chance to ruin Everton’s Christmas and New Year – probably due to the fear of the 3rd Round Tie at Anfield.
Delighted! We can f**k EFC’s Xmas & New Year up!! https://t.co/fIhCjKRTCG

Everton supporting boxer Tony Bellew punched back though, claiming as many Bluenoses do, that Carra’s in fact a Toffee.
That means it’ll be a bad one for you in all then mate cos we both know your a die hard blue deep down…. 💙😉💙

Obviously, our former centre-back had to have the last laugh….
Haha how can I prove I’m not?! No matter how much abuse I give you the blues they still love me!! I was right about no blues getting in the LFC team 😎

What a draw, though!
Under Jurgen Klopp, we’ve lost in the FA Cup to West Ham and Wolves, with the manager not taking the competition seriously in terms of his selections.
This year, we really hope he goes for it. We have a big squad and the fans need silverware. And what better way to go on a run than to punish Everton on January 6?
