LFC CEO gives fans exciting January transfer news

It’s the Merseyside Derby today, if weather permits, with Jurgen Klopp’s side heavy favourites to beat Everton at Anfield.

But despite the German’s team looking in very good condition right now, fans are very aware that the winter transfer window is on the horizon.

CEO Peter Moore has told supporters that Liverpool will look to be active once 2018 strikes.

‘It’s not about buying the most expensive player….’ he said, before confirming that Liverpool will at least try to buy in January.

‘The club continues to look at acquisitions that will strengthen the squad…’

You can watch the whole interview, below:

It’s been said on countless occasions, by Empire of the Kop especially, but if Liverpool are going to buy players, they better be defenders…

The first-team is very top heavy. The attack is brilliant, the midfield is ‘ok’ (with Naby Keita confirmed for next season), but the backline is poor.

That has much been proven on too many occasions since Klopp took over.

Hopefully, Klopp will get his primary centre-back target Virgil van Dijk. But time will tell.
