Emre Can was atrocious last night – and much, much worse than Jordan Henderson has been this season when he’s been slammed by ‘supporters’.
The skipper started the game on the bench, with Can in the no.6 role, but the German was lethargic, sloppy and without ideas.
At one point, he had acres of grass in front of him and he checked back and played a sideways ball to Gini Wijnaldum. If Henderson had done the same, Twitter would have most likely broken.
A large number of fans though realised what we were seeing in Henderson’s absence and accepted that he’s not the sole ‘problem’ as has been portrayed by many.
If Hendo had played like Can (WHO WANTS TO LEAVE ON A FREE) his head would be on a spike.
If Jordan Henderson played the half of football Emre Can just has there would be people calling for his head on a spike. #LFC

If Henderson had started how Can or Gini have tonight, he wouldn't hear the end of it.

If Henderson had started how Can or Gini started……

If Jordan Henderson had put in Emre Can's performance tonight he would have been lynched. It was one of the worst midfield performances I have seen in a long long time. Wijnaldum wasn't much better either. #LFC
