LFC injury boost: Good news on four crocked Reds

Posted by

Adam Lallana will return to Liverpool’s squad v Bournemouth, Simon Mignolet will start in goal, while Joel Matip and Nathaniel Clyne are both outside and running – meaning it shouldn’t be too long before the pair are kicking a ball again.

Jurgen Klopp gave Liverpool fans this news during his press-conference today, ahead of Sunday’s clash with Bournemouth.

“Matip on a good way, running outside, not available for the weekend of course…. Same for Clyne. We have to wait on Sturridge, to see how he improved since yesterday” he began.

“Joe Gomez should be ok. Milly, Robbo, only knocks from the game.

“Adam is back in full and normal training. If nothing changed since yesterday then he will be ready for the squad at least.

“And Simon is ok…”

Simon Mignolet will return to the side v Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth.

We’re very glad Lallana is fit again and hope he gets some minutes.

He’s one of our best players, but has only made just one very short cameo all season – and has almost been forgotten about in conversations about Liverpool’s best team going forward.

We think that he could play in a midfield which includes Coutinho, however, especially against defensive sides.

Going forward, this could be the key for us, although in big games, we’d probably start the Brazilian and use Lallana on the bench as two offensive no.8s leaves gap centrally.
