Zinedine Zidane admits he is a big fan of Mohamed Salah amid speculation linking Real Madrid to the Liverpool star.
Salah’s stunning form since his summer move from Roma has inevitably triggered rumours suggesting the Egyptian is being targeted by the La Liga giants.
Since arriving at Anfield, the forward has cruised to 18 goals for the season and, as a result, is currently the Premier League’s top scorer.
Though Zidane remained about any potential interest, the Frenchman did reveal his appreciation for Salah.
“Salah is a great player. He showed that at Roma, now at Liverpool,” he said, as reported by the Mirror.
“He’s still young and is improving all the time. I don’t talk much about other players, but he is a player I rate a lot.”
Egypt national team manager Hector Cuper recently claimed he had received information that Madrid were, in fact, keen on acquiring Salah in the near future.
Immediate interest serves as testament to the emphatic way in which Salah has started his Liverpool career and handled his second spell in England.
Any doubts that still loomed over him following his unsuccessful sting with Chelsea have already been diminished, with Jurgen Klopp having uncovered yet another revelation and, crucially, another perfect fit to his system and philosophies on Merseyside.
