‘It’s a dream come true’ – Coutinho’s first words as Barca player after LFC exit

As we prepare to now draw a line under his departure, Philippe Coutinho appeared in Barcelona colours for the first time on Sunday.

Our former Brazilian magician will be officially unveiled on Monday, but he appeared at the Nou Camp on Sunday evening with Barca sharing images of him on their social media platforms.

Among the posts was the video on Twitter below, where Coutinho says that “it’s a dream come true” for him to move to Barca, as he now looks ahead to the next chapter in his career.

For the Reds, we have to move on and focus on ourselves and consider the best ways possible to fill the void left behind as await to see whether or not a replacement arrives this month.

Evidently the move means a lot to Coutinho, and while it’s disappointing and frustrating to lose one of our best players, no individual is bigger than the club and we’ll move on from this and hopefully become stronger.

For Jurgen Klopp and the players, it’s all about focusing on Man City on Sunday to extend our impressive unbeaten run, and while Coutinho will likely remain a talking point on Monday as he’s paraded by Barca, beyond that it will be time to put the matter to bed and move forward.
