Liverpool’s Likely XI after January Window is incredible following mega signings

Liverpool may have lost Coutinho to Barcelona for £142m, but if we conclude a deal to get Naby Keita to the club early, Jurgen Klopp’s best starting XI still looks exceptional.

The Echo are reporting that Rb Leipzig have softened their stance on Keita and will allow him to join us this month instead of the summer, providing we cough up an extra £13m premium.

Without Phil, it would be foolish for the club not to take up this option, and considering how incredibly highly Klopp rates the Guinean, we’d be surprised if it didn’t happen.

We’re unlikely to buy a new no.1 this month though, meaning Simon Mignolet will remain first-choice.

Our fullback area is well stocked, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez rotating on the right, and Alberto Moreno and Andrew Robertson doing the same on the left.

Virgil van Dijk is an automatic starter in central defence following his world-record £75m move, meaning Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip will compete for a spot alongside him.

Emre Can is our best option to anchor the side, even if he is leaving, meaning Keita and the ever-improving Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could provide legs, energy and dribbling either side.

James Milner, Adam Lallana and Gini Wijnaldum bolster Klopp’s options, here.

Up top, the side picks itself, with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane flanking Roberto Firmino. These three will remain our most important players, so it’s vital they stay fit and on form.

This side could win the FA Cup and get in the Top Four again. No problem.
