Done Deal: Liverpool offload attacker after limited chances

Liverpool have sent Ryan Kent to Bristol City in the Championship, hoping the young Englishman will get more chances than he was granted in Germany for Freiburg.

Jurgen Klopp hoped the Bundesliga outfit would help Kent develop, but since they got caught up in a relegation battle, they’ve not entrusted our 21-year-old with much game-time – selecting him six times in total and just once from the beginning.

Paul Joyce confirmed the news on Twitter:

Having seen Bristol City in the League Cup, we’re quite excited for Kent. Not only could he play at Wembley if they manage to turn around the deficit against Manchester City in the semi-final, but he’ll be a key asset in their battle to finish high up the Championship table.

They currently sit in 4th, but they’re just two points behind 2nd placed Derby.

Kent’s quick, tricky and can beat a fullback with regularity. We just hope he gets regular minutes, as at 21, it’s time he showed his true worth.
