LFC propose intriguing Sturridge swap-deal, following Sanchez/Mkhitaryan saga – Reports

It’s not often we see high profile swap-deals in the Premier League anymore, but this January, they’re back in vogue.

Arsenal and Manchester United are exchanging Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, with an official announcement expected shortly.

But reports in Italy are suggesting Liverpool have proposed one of our own with Inter Milan, who are looking like the frontrunners for wantaway forward Daniel Sturridge’s signature.

Corriere dello Sport reckon the Serie A giants want our English forward to bolster a strike-force which already includes Mauro Icardi (unless Real Madrid secure the Argentinian…).

And Sports Illustrated think we’ve asked the Italians for central midfielder Marcelo Brozovic in return.

The Croat is our of favour at San Siro and would likely be available.

If Liverpool do offload Sturridge though, with Coutinho already exited, it’s vital we bring in another attacker, as Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke do not offer sufficient backup considering we’re in three competitions.

What’s more, the Mail reckons Sturridge is actually holding out for a move to Sevilla and not Inter, but the Spaniards have so far only made a loan offer.

This one looks like it’ll go right down to the wire.
