James Pearce suggested the other day that the Englishman could feature today against the Baggies, but the fact he isn’t even on the bench hints to us that he’s likely to depart…

Dominic Solanke and Danny Ings make the subs bench, but there’s no spot for the 28-year-old.

The Guardian confirm that Inter have made a loan offer, and this news today suggests something is imminent, with the transfer window closing on Wednesday.

Pearce interestingly shares our view that offloading Sturridge without bringing in someone new would be very, very risky.

But Jurgen Klopp is not someone who brings in players for the sake of it, and would prefer to stick with what he’s got and give chances to Solanke and Ings than gamble on a second or third choice option.
