Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign Mohamed Salah… but there’s a twist

Mohamed Salah’s future could reportedly impact whether or not Mauricio Pochettino takes over as Real Madrid manager – bare with us.

The Egyptian’s stunning form for Liverpool has seen him emerge as a supposed summer target for the Spanish club, where a complete overhaul has been rumoured to take place in response to the team’s disappointing season.

With current manager Zinedine Zidane potentially in line to be sacked, Tottenham’s Pochettino has surfaced as a possible candidate to replace the Frenchman.

The Spurs boss will only agree to taking the job providing certain conditions are met – one being the signing of Salah, according to Al-Ahram Online, as cited by the Egypt Independent.

The chances of such claims being true range from slim to zilch.

One thing that may prove to be a reality is Madrid’s apparent interest in Liverpool’s summer-signing.

Salah has scored an incredible 26 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions since arriving from Roma and has two games to beat the record for fastest player to reach 20 Premier League goals for the club.

His prolific start to life at Anfield has already drawn interest from abroad, although Salah himself recently diminished suggestions of a departure and expressed how happy he is at the club.

Having lost Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona last month, Jurgen Klopp will have no intention of loosing his grip on Salah.
