Mo Salah was a very decent goalscoring winger in Italy for Fiorentina and Roma, but at Liverpool, he’s transformed into simply a world-class one.
The Egyptian has plundered 30 goals so far this campaign – unbelievable considering he’s notched just one penalty and starts on the right wing…
Last term for Roma, Salah scored 19 times, and 15 the year before. Prior to this campaign starting, we would have considered a number in the late teens an exceptional debut return from the 25-year-old, but he’s exceed all expectations.

According to Africa’s best player, Jurgen Klopp has asked him to play more centrally and further forward.
“With the boss here, I play a little bit closer to the goal, more so than at any other club or more than any of my other coaches have asked me to,” Salah told the Echo.
“So I am always in front of the goal to give me the opportunity to score. The manager is always telling me to stay close to the goal in training.
“I don’t want to say too much because we still have a long way to go in the season and I don’t want to give too much away. But yes, it’s something we have worked on in the training sessions.
“You cannot score 10 goals from 10 balls – that’s impossible and I know that I have missed many chances too this season. But I am trying to improve.
“The coaches help me so much to do that and I also work hard alone after the training sessions.”
It’s the relationship Salah has with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane that also helps.
The Brazilian drops deeps and allows Mo to occupy the centre-forward spot, with an onrushing fullback providing width on the right.
Mane similarly stretches the opponents and frees up space by taking up the attention of two or more defenders every time he beelines towards the goal on the left.
As a trio, they’re as good as anything in Europe right now.
