Stamford Bridge staged a momentous coming together on Tuesday evening, with Luis Suarez and Jamie Carragher reuniting as former teammates.
The pair were photographed together after the game, with Carragher having been in London to watch his old friend in the first leg of Barcelona’s last 16 clash with Chelsea.
Suarez was largely frustrated on the night as Antonio Conte’s men produced a stern performance to earn a 1-1 draw heading into the return leg at the Nou Camp.
The Uruguayan was then met by Carragher, before signing a shirt for the Liverpool legend’s son James.
The pair played on Merseyside together between 2011 and 2013, although never played directly alongside each other in an attacking duo Carragher teased on social media after the game.

Whilst Carragher undoubtedly boasts a reputation as one of the greatest players in the club’s history, Suarez owns a slightly different title not as one of the greatest but certainly as one of the most talented.
The latter proved to be a revelation at Anfield, mustering an impressive 82 goals in 133 appearances for the Reds and spearheading the club’s second-placed Premier League finish in 2013/2014.
