Liverpool seemingly remain keen on bolstering their youth ranks further when the summer transfer window opens.

The Reds have turned a notable focus towards enhancing their youth system in recent years, with Neil Critchley’s U23s and Steven Gerrard’s U18s now boasting reputations among the best in England in their respective age brackets.

Teenager Mohamed Bahlouli has been touted as the next potential target having made a lasting impression at youth level for Lyon.

The 18-year-old has been watched by Anfield scouts and a move to Merseyside looks a possibility, according to  France Football.

Jurgen Klopp’s dedication to youth development undoubtedly presents Liverpool as an ideal destination for top prospects.

The German has paved the way for the likes of Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold to shine in the senior setup, as well as expressing his faith in Ben Woodburn to become a prominent figure in the first-team fold.

Early glimpses advertise Bahlouli as a game-dicatating attacking midfielder, with his jinking runs and tendency to drift across the pitch marking the foundations of tenuous comparisons to Philippe Coutinho.

He flaunts incredible vision and execution with his passing, as well as the flair and technique to drift past his markers and conjure chances for both himself and for teammates.

Given the strength of Liverpool’s current youth system, any player being monitored by the club is worth taking note of.
