Why the players on Real Madrid’s summer shortlist along with Mo Salah benefit Liverpool…

Real Madrid want Mo Salah.

In fairness, they’d be stupid if they didn’t.

Of course, this doesn’t mean Liverpool are going to sell. We only bought him eight months ago and he seems 100% happy on Merseyside.

Jurgen Klopp has transformed him from an exciting winger into a spellbinding attacker and he’s already registered 30 goals this season…

But if Liverpool stand strong, Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane (or whoever is manager by the summer) will have to turn their attention elsewhere.

According to Spanish reports, translated by the Express, Antoine Griezmann, Eden Hazard, Neymar and Goncalo Guedes are the other attackers targeted.

We’d suggest ALL are more likely to leave than Salah, which is great for us:

-Hazard has been at Chelsea since 2012 and it feels a more natural time for him to try his luck in Spain.

-Griezmann is definitely leaving Atletico, with one of Barca or Real the viable options.

-Guedes is on loan from PSG at Valencia right now, and with their current attack, it’s unlikely the French would stand in his way.

-Neymar is a tricky one, but there’s every chance the Brazilian will throw his toys out of the pram in a manner which Salah surely will not.

So for this reason, we’re not worried at all. The four players on their shortlist are all more likely to end up in white than our Mo.

Obviously, there’s a chance his head could turn, but surely Real will beeline for one of the more easily attainable attackers first, given all the circumstances.
