Firmino has reacted to LFC Player of the Month award…

Congratulations Bobby!

Liverpool’s Brazilian forward was last night named our Player of the Month for January, beating Mo Salah (2nd) and Andy Robertson (3rd) to the prize!

Our Egyptian flyer had won the award four times already this season, so it’s testament to Firmino just how good he’s been in 2018 that he earned the monthly gong this time around.

Firmino scored goals against Manchester City, West Brom and Huddersfield, registering two assists as well.

“I am very happy to receive this prize for being the player of the month and I hope to win more awards during this season. I am very happy for the fans voting for me,” he told Liverpoolfc.com

“My favourite one was against Manchester City. Particularly because of the game that the team played, the whole performance that we achieved on that day to win the match.”

The 26-year-old may have a good chance of winning the award in February as well, having scored in our wins over Southampton and Porto, as well.

Firmino is on 21 goals for the season and is in double figures for assists, too.

His importance to the team is immeasurable and is probably the first name on Jurgen Klopp’s team-sheet.

He’ll start against West Ham tomorrow, with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane flanking him at Anfield at Anfield.
