LFC to ‘wrap up’ massive contract ‘swiftly’ ✍🏽

Liverpool are deep in talks with the brilliant Bobby Firmino and his agents about a massive new contract.

According to Dominic King in the Daily Mail, it should be done and dusted fairly soon:

“Liverpool are in negotiations to give him a bumper new contract and it is business they should wrap up swiftly,” he wrote yesterday.

The Brazilian signed in 2015 from Hoffenheim, and at the end of this season, will still have two years to run on his deal, but his performances this term have more than warranted an extension.

That being said, he’s earning terrific money right now due to the bonuses agreed in his original deal. At the moment, according to the Mirror, every goal he’s bagged this season from 11 onwards (he’s currently on 22) has triggered an extra £65k added to his weekly wages!

Nice work if you can get it…

But Liverpool will want to make the 26-year-old maybe the club’s highest paid player, with Virgil van Dijk on £180k/week right now.

After signing Firmino to new terms, we should be upgrading Mo Salah and Sadio Mane’s contracts to boot.

That front-three is the present and future of our club.
