Liverpool are giving a trial to former Chelsea midfielder

20-year-old Englishman Isaac Christie-Davies is currently on trial at Liverpool, after Chelsea alerted him that they would not be renewing his contract.

The youngster will be available for nothing, so Neil Critchley and Liverpool’s coaching staff are currently watching his development to decide whether we’ll be offering him a contract.

For Chelsea’s U23s this term, he’s scored one goal and assisted another, capable of playing either on the left wing or in central midfield.

On Monday night, Christie-Davies played for Liverpool’s U23s, but sadly, we got thrashed 4-0 by Leicester.

Liverpool loaned out all our best U23s in January, meaning the current side is essentially an U18 one – which has resulted in a poor run of results.

Christie-Davies has excellent youth pedigree, winning the UEFA Youth League in 2016 and representing England at various age groups.

At 20 though, he’ll need to break through soon.

We wish him luck!
