Liverpool to face Man City in Champions League quarter-final clash

Liverpool will take on Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals after the draw was made in Nyon on Friday afternoon.

After we successfully swept aside Porto in the last round, all eyes were on who we would draw in the last eight with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus all in the hat.

However, it’s going to be an all-English tie for us as we take on Pep Guardiola’s side in what should be a thrilling encounter and one that we will of course hopefully come out on top in.

The last time we played the Premier League leaders was in January, and that was of course an epic 4-3 win for us in which we were able to take the game to City before holding on to secure the victory.

The first leg will be played at Anfield on either April 3/4, before the return fixture on April 10/11 at the Etihad Stadium.

Elsewhere in the draw, Barcelona meet Roma, Sevilla take on Bayern Munich and Juventus will face Real Madrid. Here’s to hoping we can be in the mix when it comes to the last four, but it will undoubtedly be a tough challenge for Jurgen Klopp and the boys.
