At the beginning of it he was very much a novice with a handful of games worth of professional experience.
Now, he’s scored goals in the Champions League, Premier League and has been asked to train with the full England squad – aged 19!

Gareth Southgate has requested the teenager practises with his roster of players instead of the U21 squad, although Trent is expected to feature for the latter against Romania and Ukraine.

Liverpool’s other fit right-back option, Joe Gomez, has been named in the full squad, which is a testament to how much Southgate rates him considering he’s not been in our side recently.
Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are in the full squad too, while on-loan Ovie Ejaria and Dominic Solanke are likely to feature in the U21 XI.
We hope they all do us proud, but just as importantly, return to Melwood in full health!
