LFC keen on Jorginho’s £28m Italy team-mate, too – Report

Liverpool are being linked with Italy international Lorenzo Pellegrini in Corriere dello Sport, translated by teamTalk.

The 21-year-old plays for Roma and according to their report, is available for £28m due to a clause in his contract.

It seems Liverpool might be getting another great deal out of Roma again, following the bargain Mo Salah deal sealed last summer.

Pellegrini started for Italy against England during the international break and actually lined up alongside another well publicised target, Jorginho.

Jorginho, Napoli’s 26-year-old controller, is the more obvious choice due to the fact he plays no.6 and has been magnificent this term, but youngster Pellegrini provides an interesting alternative.

Young Italians have always struggled in the Premier League though, and we’d prefer we paid the extra money to secure Jorginho, in truth.

His passing skills are simply exceptional and the thought of him providing long balls to our onrushing wingers Mo Salah and Sadio Mane is very exciting.
