He lost 2-0 to Annan and picked up a booking in the process.

At 19, there was no obvious sign he was set for eventual stardom.

Fast forward to 2018, Robbo has just played superbly for Liverpool in the Champions League quarterfinals against Manchester City, helping Jurgen Klopp’s side win 5-1 on aggregate.

In both legs, the Scottish international was exceptional.

We were not the only Liverpool fans who were a little underwhelmed by the Robertson signing.

He’d just been relegated with Hull City and we were in desperate need of a top notch left-back.

That though is exactly what Robbo has become. In fact, there are no domestic left-backs we’d swap him for – including Manchester City duo Benjamin Mendy and Aymeric Laporte, who cost a combined fee of almost £100m.
