(Video) Salah scores ridiculous 40th goal of season; produces ice-cool celebration

Mohamed Salah took his goals tally to a remarkable 40 for the season on Saturday with a superb header against Bournemouth at Anfield.

In the process, the Egyptian became just the eight player to score 30 Premier League goals in a season – joining the likes of Luis Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Alan Shearer.

Salah had to wait longer than anticipated for his goal courtesy of Bournemouth’s stern defensive effort and Liverpool’s unusual lack of conviction in the final third.

A deserved second goal arrived midway through the second half as Salah ran onto Trent Alexander-Arnold’s perfect cross before expertly directing a header over Asmir Begovic.

This followed up Sadio Mane’s first half opener, which marked his 17th goal across all competitions for the Reds this season.

Salah capped off his stunning effort with a replicate celebration of his nonchalant reaction to scoring in Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final second-leg against Manchester City.

A win against Eddie Howe’s men would leave Liverpool just two victories away from confirming a top four finish.

Here’s Salah’s latest moment of ingenuity…
