Jordan Henderson couldn’t hold back a smile as he jumped at the opportunity to join in with the light-hearted Harry Kane mockery.

The Liverpool skipper dropped a subtle dig in the direction of the striker after he was awarded Tottenham’s second goal against Stoke following a successful appeal to the goals accreditation panel.

Henderson was speaking in reaction to the Reds’ 3-0 win over Bournemouth, in which Mohamed Salah notched his 30th Premier League goal of the season to extend his lead ahead of Kane as the division’s top scorer.

The Egyptian’s effort incredibly marked his 40th across all competitions – all of which he will be claiming according to his captain.

Kane’s bizarre appeal has evidently fuelled a fierce conclusion to the battle for the the Golden Boot, with Salah now five ahead of his rival.

Liverpool’s talismanic forward is now just seven goals away from Ian Rush’s season-high 47 goals following his stunning cushioned header on Saturday.

With four league games and two Champions League semi-final legs remaining, there is every chance to former Roma man will come close.
