Mo Salah bagged his 40th goal of a ridiculous individual season against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
The Egyptian headed in Trent Alexander-Arnold’s wonderful cross to put us 2-0 up, all the more impressive as it didn’t look like he had his shooting boots on for once!

Twitter user Antonstotle has shared a list of the strikers who never reached 40 goals in one season, and it’s incredible.
It includes some of the greatest players to ever play the game.
Was trying to comprehend just how good Salah's season is. With at least 7 games left Salah has outscored the career best of: Shevchenko, Inzaghi, Rooney, Aguero, van Basten, Shearer, Fowler, Eto'o, Trezeguet, van Persie, del Piero, Müller, Crespo, Batistuta, Totti and Drogba

What’s more, Salah has notched just one penalty, no free-kicks, and starts on the right of a front-three, rather than in the middle of it.
On top of that, there’s four games of the domestic season left and at least two more in the Champions League, hopefully capped off with a final in Kiev!
It’s not impossible that Salah will get close to 50, actually, which is truly the kind of numbers that only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo rack up.
