Jurgen Klopp managed to grace Sunday’s PFA awards ceremony without even being present.
The Liverpool boss made an appearance on the big screen as he congratulated Mohamed Salah on winning the Players’ Player of the Year award.
Salah picked up the accolade ahead of Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, with the two having been locked in direct battle as the two frontrunners for the title in recent months.
Besides praising the Egyptian for his remarkable efforts and hailing the opportunity to manage him, Klopp also instructed the forward to get himself home early with Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final first-leg against Roma in mind.
Klopp said: “On behalf of the LFC family, again, congratulations. It was a fantastic ride so far, but you know we have still a few yards to go. With the best wishes for your future here at LFC, [from] your manager,” per Liverpoolfc.com.
“And now, please grab the trophy and come home – we play on Tuesday! See you then.”

Salah now has a great chance of becoming the first player to surpass 31 goals in a 38-game Premier League season, as well as threatening the 34 goals Andy Cole and Alan Shearer racked up in a 42-game campaign.
The 25-year-old also has his sights set on a record closer to home, with just six goals needed to equal Ian Rush’s incredible 47-goal haul across all competitions over the 1983/1984 season.
That being said, the forward has outlined a successful finish to the season for Liverpool as his unrivalled priority – starting with the Reds’ pursuit of a Champions League final spot.
