Remarkably, we’ve now scored seven goals in our last two games when the Egyptian’s been on the pitch, and conceded four once Klopp’s subbed him.

The simple lesson here is – NEVER remove Salah from a football pitch. Never.

In all seriousness, while we can see the logic in trying to give the 25-year-old a bit of a breather ahead of an important run of games to come, was there really any need to remove him when Roma were on the ropes?

The sheer threat this guy poses with his pace and eye for goal leaves defenders petrified – had he stayed on we may well have added another, or at least given Roma more to think about before coming forward.

What’s done is done, and while those two late goals are incredibly frustrating, we’d all be hailing a pretty successful first leg if the goals had come in the opposite order.

Let’s keep Salah fit and firing and we’re sure to score again in the second leg.
