Mo Salah has not been speaking with his former AS Roma team-mates ahead of tonight’s Champions League semi-final at Anfield.

The Reds host the travelling Italians at 7:45pm, while Real Madrid are at Bayern Munich tomorrow.

Klopp makes Mo Salah prediction for AS Roma clash

The Egyptian has scored 41 times this season and will be desperate to add to his tally tonight against the side that for some reason sold him for just £37m in 2017.

Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman, who used to play with Salah at club level and currently starts with Virgil van Dijk and Gini Wijnaldum for the Netherlands, said Mo hasn’t been answering his phone-calls!

“Salah is definitely the most dangerous player right now and we won’t be friends on the pitch,” Strootman told La Repubblica, translated by Goal.

“I’ve tried to call him lately but he doesn’t pick up the phone. He must have changed his number like six times. I will write to him after the semi-final.”

Salah comes across as a brilliant guy. He’s humble, kind and always smiling – but deep down still possesses that killer-instinct and utter belief in his own ability that all the world’s best sportsmen have.

Tonight is the night where he’ll be able to prove if he truly is on a level with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Those two legends repeatedly score goals on the biggest stage, and a Champions League semi will be the biggest club game Salah has ever played.
