Sadio Mane was Liverpool’s best player tonight.
The Senegalese opened the scoring early on with a subtle left-foot finish, but from this point onwards, was easily the most impressive of our lauded front-three.
Mo Salah was a passenger and Roberto Firmino gave the ball away too much, but Mane was dogged, skilful and made the right decisions.
Klopp took him off late on, but his job was done.
Mane was quite poor in the first-leg, despite his goal, but tonight, arrived where a few of his team-mates seemed a little shellshocked.
What’s so great is that when one of the front-three is off colour, we have another who can step in and put in a genuinely word-class performance.
BRING ON KIEV!

Sadio Mane has been superb in that 1st half. Stood out a mile above anyone else in a Liverpool shirt there for me.

Sadio Mane, cool as you like on the counter, with the opener.
And there goes that 'Roma are the only side yet to concede a home goal in the Champions League this season' stat.
And there goes the away end!
