LFC want to repeat Mo Salah trick with cheeky summer transfer

Liverpool have been linked with Chelsea outcast Kenedy by Newcastle paper Chronicle Live.

They claim that Rafa Benitez is competing with Bayern Munich, Arsenal and ourselves for the Brazilian’s permanent signature this summer…

Kenedy, now 22-years-old, has been excellent for the Toon since joining on loan from Stamford Bridge in January.

His two goals and two assists have propelled Newcastle into mid-table and away from the relegation zone.

Kenedy possesses the characteristics Liverpool need in reserve to our current front-three. He’s quick, direct, skilful and has room for serious improvement.

Obviously, there’s no need to replace Mo Salah, Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino, but we desperately need improved backup, with Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke a severe downgrade on the world’s most exciting front-three.

And the fact Kenedy didn’t make the grade at Chelsea shouldn’t be held against him, of course.

Last summer, we acquired Salah from Roma, a few years after he’d been sold by the Blues having been branded ‘not good enough’ by then manager Jose Mourinho. This term, he’s scored 43 goals, and the manner in which Kenedy has lit up St. James’ Park suggests he’s got more to give as well.

Obviously, Chelsea may be more wary this time around!
