It would be a travesty if Rhian Brewster ended up playing his permanent football elsewhere.
But the teenager, who’s rated as one of the biggest prospects in world football, looks set for a move to Borussia Monchengladbach at the end of the season, with the Telegraph suggesting it’s now a ‘certainty’.

The 18-year-old is still only on an Academy contract having refused professional turns when he turned 17 – which means he can exit the club if he feels the need.
Liverpool will get a small fee decided by a tribunal, but it’ll be peanuts considering what Brewster could end up being worth if he fulfils even some of his potential.
It’s understandable that his head would be turned considering the success of Jadon Sancho and Ademola Lookman in Germany this year, especially with Liverpool’s front-three, Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, practically impenetrable.
Liverpool though want to ‘protect their investment,’ and according to the Telegraph, are considering reporting Borussia Monchengladbach for illegally approaching Brewster.
Jurgen Klopp has promised Brewster a role in the first-team next season [Echo], but this will mean a spot on the bench at best.
We’d support Brewster leaving on loan, but from his own personal point of view, perhaps he’s making a smart decision. So many young Englishman have crazy talent, but stagnate due to big English clubs being unable to play them as much as they’d hope.
