In all honesty, we’ve forgotten about Divock Origi this season.
The Belgian was once Jurgen Klopp’s leading striker, shining in the German’s first season, but a nasty injury was sustained against Everton in 2016 and he’s never really been the same since.
This term on loan for Wolfsburg, the 23-year-old has just six goals – tellingly only starting 22 Bundesliga games for the side who’ve finished 16th out of 18.

As a result, he’s been labelled as not good enough for Liverpool long-term, which we’re not necessarily arguing with.
However, his talent has always been there, as displayed by this assist last night in the relegation play-offs.
Origi wins the ball, produces a skilful turn and plays a perfect pass to his team-mate, who finishes with composure.
If he did more of this, Origi would be our primary backup to Roberto Firmino.
Does he have a Liverpool future, Reds?
