Nabil Fekir is remaining tight-lipped until his transfer to Liverpool is officially announced…

James Pearce confirmed in the Echo that the Frenchman has passed his medical, that a fee has been agreed and that his wages have been sorted out, too.

But when asked about his feelings, Fekir simply claimed he was happy to be back in Lyon, somewhere he’ll be plenty less following the completion of his transfer.

Get French Football tweeted his quotes this afternoon:

The 24-year-old first joined Lyon in 2005 as a youth player, aged just 11, so it’s an enormous step in his life and career.

But there’s no better manager in world football to nurture his talent than Jurgen Klopp.

The German is practically unrivalled when it comes to unshackling talented attackers. Just ask Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, or go further back and get a recommendation from Robert Lewandowski, Mario Gotze, Marco Reus or various others!

Fekir will be used in Liverpool’s front-three, but often he’ll play from midfield, breaking the lines, playing incisive passes, dribbling and shooting from range.

We can’t wait to see him in action.
