Borussia Dortmund have reportedly snapped up scout Sebastian Frank from Jurgen Klopp’s backroom team at Liverpool.
This is according to German outlet Bild, who suggest Frank has been poached by Dortmund to replace Sven Mislintat, now head of recruitment at Arsenal.
Now while Frank may not be the biggest name at LFC, this could prove a worry for us as we really looked to have got our mojo back in the transfer market of late.
Of course, spending big on players like Virgil van Dijk does no harm, but Klopp has truly brought in some top class signings on the cheap in recent times, none better than Mo Salah.
But the likes of Sadio Mane and Andrew Robertson have also been big successes that people might not have expected, and it’s a shame we seem set to lose that valuable connection.
Liverpool have made a strong start to the summer with a swoop for Fabinho, who will join in midfield alongside Naby Keita.
Still, it’ll be interesting to see how this rumoured blow affects our plans…
