Mo Salah’s reaction is priceless as address is leaked and fans surround his house

Mohamed Salah has enhanced his iconic image in Egypt with an incredible response to fans gathering outside his home.

The forward built a reputation as something of a national hero with his prolific first season on Merseyside and an instrumental role in Egypt’s World Cup qualification.

Salah fired 44 goals across all competitions in his debut campaign with Liverpool, breaking the record for most Premier League goals in a single 38-game season in the process.

On the international stage, he was at hand to convert a stoppage-time penalty in a qualifier against Congo to book Egypt a place at their first World Cup since 1990.

An unyielding spotlight shines on one of football’s self-effacing and humble stars, who has dealt with it admirably in return.

Fans gathered outside Salah’s house on Thursday after his address was leaked on social media, to which he responded by coming out to sign autographs and take selfies.

His actions proved even more refreshing having come on the back of a disappointing conclusion to the season, topped off by Egypt’s World Cup woes.

The 26-year-old was evidently far from full fitness in Russia as he strived to recover from the shoulder injury that forced him off in the first half of Liverpool’s Champions League final.

Caught up in image rights and PR disputes both before and during the tournament alongside his battle with injury, Salah will deem himself in need of some time away from the cameras ahead of pre-season.

With this in mind, his effort to integrate with his fans serves as yet another beacon of a supreme professional and role model.
