Nabil Fekir to Liverpool is ‘likely’ according to Robin Bairner, a French Football expert who works for Goal.
He reckons that following youngster Houssem Aouar signing an extension, Lyon will allow their captain to depart to Liverpool after the World Cup.

#Lyon have tied Houssem Aouar to a new five-year deal. That clears the way for #Fekir to leave the club. #LFC

As we all know, Fekir was meant to be officially announced before the World Cup started, but despite undergoing a medical and doing his introductory club interviews, Liverpool pulled out of a deal – due to an issue with his knee.
The club likely wanted to lower cost, or at least insert clauses that protect us should Fekir’s knee give way in the future.
We haven’t made a move for an alternative playmaker yet though, which suggests the 24-year-old is still on the radar.
Liverpool are now back at Melwood and preparations for the new campaign are underway. Naby Keita and Fabinho are both with their new team-mates and could feature in imminent friendlies.
If we are going to sign Fekir, Klopp will want it done immediately after the World Cup to give the player as much time as possible to adapt to life in our city and the team’s tactics.
