Liverpool’s strong lineup v Chester features Keita & Fabinho

On Saturday, Liverpool are playing Chester at the exact same time England are up against Sweden in the World Cup!

We’re quite interested in both games, to be honest, but with Naby Keita and Fabinho making debuts, it’s obvious which one’s more important…

According to the Echo, this is the lineup Jurgen Klopp will go with for Liverpool’s first pre-season friendly of the summer:

Karius; Clyne, Robertson, Klavan, Gomez; Fabinho, Keita, Lallana; Woodburn, Wilson, Origi

Not bad at all!

As well as the two new signings, the front-three excites us greatly…

If Wilson and Woodburn genuinely want first-team football in 2018/19, they need to perform exquisitely this summer.

And it’ll be interesting to see Divock Origi back in red, too, following an averagely successful loan spell with Wolfsburg – which saw him score just six goals in 31 appearances.

With Danny Ings wanting an exit, and Daniel Sturridge almost certainly leaving too – perhaps Origi will become our priority striker sub this term coming.

Finally, it’ll be Karius’s first appearance since his Champions League nightmare. A clean-sheet would be nice.
