Dejan Lovren is going to play in a World Cup Final and there’s nothing anyone can do about it – just like when he got to the Champions League Final a few months ago.

Dejan Lovren: I’m one of the best defenders in the world 🌍
The Croatian was incredible last night and pocketed Harry Kane, the same forward who bullied him for Tottenham on a few occasions last season.
But Lovren looks like a new player, full of confidence, and the world is finally seeing what he can offer.
The 29-year-old was heroic for Croatia, making countless clearances, interceptions and tackles – while showing composure with the ball at his feet as well.
If he can maintain this level for Liverpool throughout 2018/19, we might not need a new keeper after all – because nobody will get past Lovren and Virgil van Dijk!

Dejan Lovren is set to become only the 5th Liverpool player in the history of the club to feature in a World Cup Final after: Roger Hunt, Dietmar Hamann, Dirk Kuyt & Fernando Torres! #LFC

Dejan Lovren, a Croatian refugee at the World Cup Final. What a story.

Dejan Lovren, a former Croatian refugee who's been abused by his own fans, mocked by the media, had his house burgled, labelled tripe – just pocketed one of the world's most prolific centre-forwards and told everyone: 'I'm one of the best on the planet' with a smile on his face.

Imagine you're in Hyde park, in a beer soaked shirt slowly realising you've got to fight your miserable way home on the tube, and you won't be able to pull sickie at work tomorrow cos football's not coming home, and Dejan Lovren will play in a World Cup final 😆😆

Can’t believe Dejan Lovren has pocketed Ronaldo, Messi and Kane in the space of 7 weeks. What a legend. pic.twitter.com/9gpKgymF0Q

This World Cup experience (along with the Champions League) will do absolute wonders for Dejan Lovren.
He’s been a beast for both Liverpool and Croatia in recent times. Long may it continue.
