Jurgen Klopp wants to give Danny Ward a prolonged chance to stake his claim as Liverpool’s no.1.
This has been confirmed by Dave Maddock in the Mirror, as well as a whole host of reliable sources.

But Liverpool fans are split on whether this decision, made entirely by Jurgen Klopp, is a good one.
Some think Ward has rightly earned a shot, especially over Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet, while others believe it’s a naive and unnecessary gamble considering our problems between the sticks.
We were not over the moon when we heard we were not going to buy a new stopper, but were relieved that it’s Ward and not Karius who’s now first-choice.
All we can do now is get fully behind the Welshman and hope Klopp is proven right, which he has been plenty of times before.
