Mad Henderson stat emerges following World Cup

Posted by

England lost three games at the World Cup, two to Belgium and one to Croatia, but remarkably, Jordan Henderson was never on the pitch, at any point, when Gareth Southgate’s side were down.

Reddit user TheodoreLesley told Reds:

“England played 690 minutes at the World Cup. Jordan Henderson played for 482 minutes of these. England were never losing with Henderson on the pitch. They played without Henderson for 208 minutes, and were losing for 136 minutes of that.”

Henderson wasn’t exceptional against Croatia before he was subbed, but England were still in the game when he was involved and became weaker when Eric Dier entered the field.

All in all, it was a terrific tournament for Liverpool’s captain, who finally got the respect he deserves from fans nationwide.

Along with Harry Maguire, John Stones and Kieran Trippier, he was England’s best performer.

In a few weeks’ time, he’ll join up with his Liverpool team-mates ahead of 2018/19.

We hope the World Cup will give him a significant confidence boost and he’ll begin the campaign full of energy and enthusiasm.

But the fact we’ve got Fabinho to perform until he’s fully fit is mighty handy.
