Chelsea are out of the running and the player is ours, providing nothing weird comes up during his medical check – which according to Fabrizio Romano – should take place tomorrow.
His colleague Di Marzio confirms the news, with both stating the 25-year-old will fly to Liverpool tonight and finalise terms.

Barring anything very out of the ordinary, Liverpool now own the world’s most expensive goalkeeper – not something we thought we’d be writing back in 2017!
Since then, the club has purchased Virgil van Dijk, Naby Keita and Fabinho – not to mention Mo Salah last summer – among others.
Our recruitment, in short, has been jaw-dropping, and it puts us in genuine contention for major silverware.
